It is time to open the August TP ! Don't hesitate to register, there are places due to less first years having asked for a room, and some last minute withdrawals. For more details, a little FAQ:
*When does it take place?*
The TP will take place 28th, August at 8pm**.
Registrations are already open, and will remain open until the
very hour of the TP.
Since there is no room reservation available yet, the TP will
happen only online. So please, fill in your wishes very clearly
and carefully!
*I can't register*
If you took part to the TG or were a first year student last
year, please wait for the end of the TG (15th August).
*Which rooms are available?*
The exact list will be communicated as soon as possible. For
now, we can tell you that there should be: some rooms in the
"carré" (~3), some rooms in Ulm outside it (~6), some rooms in
Jourdan (~2) and more rooms in Montrouge (~12 + 1 flat).
*Salmon corridor:*
We remind you that the salmon corridor will close on 31st,
January. Therefore, if you don't explicitely specify in your
wishes that you want it despite that fact, you won't get a room in
this corridor
*I don't have a room yet, how do I get one?*
Just register on degette (https://www.dg.ens.fr/degetteweb/tp/inscription)
and fill in the number of jokers you want to play. Fill in your
wishes very carefully, and clearly ! The room list will be sent
soon, but don't limit your wishes to it: some rooms might get
freed during the TP!
*I already have a room but would like to change it:*
Two possibilities: if you want to exchange a room with someone
in particular, both have to send us an email before the TP. Then,
register for the TP (no jokers needed) and fill in your wishes
with the exact. If, and only if, the DG judges that both rooms are
equivalent, we will proceed the exchange. In particular, no
exchange between different sites will be accepted.
If you juste want another room, register for the TP and details
your wishes. The room list will be sent soon, but don't limit your
wishes to it: some rooms might get freed during the TP! If at your
turn no room matches your wishes, you will keep your current room.
*What became my jokers from the TG?*
If you got a room at the TG, your jokers are played for the
whole year, and they will be counted for the TP. If you didn't get
a room, or freed it on time, you got all your jokers back and you
have to play it again if you want them to count for the TP.
*What about the supplementary jokers granted for gap years?*
If you have a gap year in Paris this year, an additional joker
will be automatically granted to you by the DG on the evening of
the TP. So, if you play 0 joker, you will be classified as having
played 1. Therefore, if you don't want to use any other joker than
this bonus one, play 0 ! Be careful, any joker played will be
counted as used and you won't be able to get it back if you want
to keep the room obtained.
*And the results?*
The results will be published and sent by email on the very
evening of the TP, or the day after.
*What if I don't get a room?*
Each year, some rooms are finally not occupied by the person
who obtained it. In order to optimize their redistribution, a TP
will be organized around the 12nd, September which would enable
you to get the key to your room the following Monday. You can for
now establish no prognostic on the number of available rooms. This
TP is not a substitute to the usual end of month TP, there will be
thus 2 TP in September.
