Good morning to you all,
The DG is getting (very) old: after years of loyal service and unwavering commitment to the school community, some of its most illustrious members are about to bow out. In March, Capucine Dulau and Esteban Geoffray will see their terms of office come to an end, while Diane Amberny-Chevalier and Thomas Rique, elected in October, have tendered their resignations. Elections will therefore be held on 29 and 30 March, to renew the mandates of Capucine and Esteban (one-year term), and those left vacant by Diane and Thomas (six-month term). Applications are now open! If you are interested in the role of dégé-e, reply to this email or contact us on our Instagram page, and we'll have a tea/drink/lunch with the people concerned to discuss the various aspects of this essential mission at the school.
On Thursday 14 March, we will be holding a general meeting to present the candidates for the DG elections. The AGM will start at 8pm in the Salle des Résistants. The agenda is as follows :
1) Report about the Housing Commission of March 7th ;
2) Minor amendments to the internal regulations
3) Presentation of candidates.
At this meeting, the declared candidates will have the opportunity to make themselves known and to convince their electors. You are all welcome to attend, either to introduce yourselves or to listen to the candidates. Although it is preferable for nominations to reach us before the meeting, they may be sent up to and including 24 March. Nominations are individual and must be accompanied by a profession of faith in PDF format. We have already received the following applications (by order of reception of the applications):
The elections will take place exclusively on the Kadenios platform. You will receive an e-mail with the voting link in due course. All students (as defined in article 3 of the Internal Regulations, i.e. "élèves normaliens", "étudiants normaliens" and "normaliens de la Sélection Internationale") are called to vote. This will be a single-round, multi-mandate ballot, by assent to all the candidates. As the DG will have to be renewed in its entirety following the resignation of the DGs elected in October, there are two posts to be filled for one year (in accordance with Article 4 of the Internal Regulations) and, following the resignation of the DGs elected in October, two posts to complete their term of office, i.e. for six months (in accordance with Article 7 of the Internal Regulations). The two candidates who came first in the ballot will take up the one-year mandates, and the next two will take up the six-month mandates.
The elections will open on 29/03 at 00:00 and close on 30/03 at 23:59 (Paris time). The results will be announced by 6 April at the latest, and the candidates will take up their duties immediately.
We count on you!
Yours faithfully,
The Student-led Housing Committee (DG)
