How to contact us

Via e-mail

The easiest, fastest and most efficient way to write to us is by using the natural way of communication of the dégé·e : e-mail ! Our address is a bit like the address of this website: dg, then a nice arobase, and an "ens.fr" (the whole address is not written here to avoid automatic spamming).

Except in times of crisis, we answer quickly and regularly. If we have not replied within 48 hours (Sundays not included), you can contact us again: we may have forgotten to process your request!

If you've written to us and haven't received a reply, you might read the DG's FAQs.

In real life

We also have an office, which is generally tidier than the COF/BDS office. It is located between the Infi room and the pigeon holes room, on the corridor BC (the one in the middle of which the war memorial is located).

The opening hours are displayed on the homepage of this site. If there is no convenient time for you, the easiest way is to send us an email or a message before coming.

If you have a document to pass on, you can simply slip it under the door. It will be seen quickly.

In case of emergency: via mobile

If we have failed to respond quickly and/or a quick response is required, please do not hesitate to contact us on our mobile phone. You can find the numbers (of the dégé·e·s who have agreed to this) in the student directory for example. Please use them in moderation.

Via the post

The address to which you can send us postcards is

Délégation Générale

45 rue d'Ulm

75230 Paris Cedex 05

However, we advise against using this method for urgent matters (see below).

By pigeonhole

If you are passing through the rue d'Ulm, you can send us your complaints by leaving a note in our pigeonhole. This is where the mail we receive by post goes.

This locker is located in the locker block underneath staircase A on the ground floor.

Let's be honest, this locker is checked less often than it should be. So it's not the best way to address us, to put it mildly. Go for the good old-fashioned slip under the door.

Via Facebook/Messenger

The DG has a Facebook page, which has been largely inactive since 2022-23.

By landline phone

There was a time when there was a landline phone in the DG's office. Its number was +33 1 44 32 28 89. But modernity takes its course, and we have cancelled the subscription. The old number is only mentioned here out of nostalgia for the days when the expression "being at the end of the phone" had a literal meaning.

On Merle

The DG has a merle team, and you are welcome to discuss on the various channels that are open! Join us here: https://merle.eleves.ens.fr/!

(Nostalgic people will remember that there was an IRC channel for that too! #doleances on sas.eleves.ens.fr)
