Starting the first year

Another page about the start of the school year to confuse you a little more.

We'll try to explain everything about how it works, what's new, and everything else. A lot of missing information is hidden somewhere else, so hang in.

My start (first year)

Timeline (yes, this is not a question)

A brief summary of what will happen to you; the ENS sum up is much better

  1. You are admitted
  2. You receive an email asking if you want accommodation (end of July - beginning of August) (for now without confirmation when you accept)
  3. You complete the online steps in the roadmap (including sending your bank details to the administrator, your ID to the card centre, etc.)
  4. You are assigned a room: you will probably not have the number of the room assigned to you before the end of August - there is no point in asking us by email before the 20th.
  5. You collect your card during the administrative appointments at the end of August (usually after the 25th) and you move in.

What should I do if I am unable to attend on the administrative pre-term days (to collect my keys, for example)?

At present, we do not have a predefined procedure. Please contact the pôle hébergement, explaining the situation and copying us in.

Why are some procedures redundant?

(it seems that some branches cannot share information with each other for this reason, so make sure you have sent everything that was requested to everyone)

Am I affected by this joker thing for my first term?

No, that will be for later. For your first term, you will automatically be provided with accommodation if you have requested it and are eligible. Yay!
