Car Parking Appendix

NB: Only the French version of this charter is authentic.

Article 1

The Délégation Générale (DG) manages the car park for students on the Ulm site and issues parking permits. These regulations could be extended to any other car parks that are made accessible for students. They also define the rules for using the car park.

Car Park Management

Article 2

The parking permit, issued by the DG to students who have requested one, is only valid for the vehicle registered on the permit, with no exceptions. Students must give their vehicle registration number to the DG, and inform the DG of any change to the registration number, so that the School administration is able to enforce the regulations.

Article 3

Vehicles parked in the car park must be used regularly. Long-term uninterrupted parking is forbidden. (General Assembly - GA of 19/10/2023)

Article 4

Any student possessing a parking permit must ensure that their vehicle is in a good condition and does not pose a risk to the security of the car park or to other users. It is forbidden to park a damaged vehicle, or a vehicle that is not allowed on public roads, in the student car park.

Article 5

The DG, in agreement with the School administration, is entitled to take any necessary measures to remove a vehicle, in particular for service or security reasons. The DG may also restrict or forbid access to the car park for the same reasons.

Allocation of Permanent Access Permits

Article 6

The DG may only allocate parking permits to students of the ENS (as defined in Article 3 of the Internal Rules), and, when there is no pressure on available places, to every person with a clipper account. (GA of 19/10/2023)

Article 7

Students wishing to obtain a parking permit must fill out the form available on the DG website and return it to the DG. The DG will decide whether or not to issue a permit as quickly as possible. Permits are only allocated for the campus where the student lives, unless the student gives a legitimate reason.

Article 8

Once the request is approved, the DG is responsible for activating the student's ENS multi-function card.

Article 9

The parking permit is valid until the end of the academic year in which it was issued. However, if the permit holder's circumstances change, or if congestion in the car park calls for a reduction in the number of vehicles with access, the DG may be required to revoke permits that have already been issued.

Temporary Permits

Article 10

Temporary parking permits can be issued by the DG in exchange for a security deposit - the rate is set by the DG. The permit is valid for 8 days and cannot be renewed.

Article 11

Temporary parking permits are subject to the same regulations as annual parking permits.
